Overview

The purpose of your Dashboard is to provide a handy snapshot of your Just Rosters account each time you login. It has been divided into eight panels, each of which can be dragged into different positions, based on the order in which you want them to show.

It is very important to keep an eye on the Alerts panel.  Just Rosters will post alerts about account activity, and potential problems. Hold the mouse cursor over each alert for more information, and click them to fix any issues. If you feel an alert can be removed without looking at it, simply click the X on the right hand side. A summary of remaining alerts will be sent to you, and your co-managers email, each morning.

Moving your panels

You might want to change the order of your Dashboard panels so that the ones most important to you are at the top. To do so:

  1. Click down and hold the header of the panel you wish to move.
  2. While holding the mouse button down, drag it to the position that you want it to appear.

Changes to the order of your panels will be saved automatically.

Removing panels from view

While you can’t remove panels, you can minimize them. Simply click the small - on the right hand side of the panels heading.

Shortcuts panel

The Shortcuts panel on your Dashboard contains links to the most commonly accessed area of a typical Just Rosters account. All of the menu items in the Shortcuts panel can also be found in the top menu.

Alerts panel

The Alerts panel is used to communicate account activity and potential problems to you. Hold the mouse cursor over each alert for more information and click them to fix any issues.  If you feel an alert can be removed without looking at it, simply click the X on the right hand side. Alerts have been colour coded as followed:

Colour Description
Red Red alerts highlight a major problem or error. Red alerts should be addressed as a matter of priority and will be re-generated if they are closed without solving. Red alerts usually highlight problems critical to the function of your account.
Yellow Yellow alerts highlight a warning. These ‘warnings’ are usually related to something requiring your attention, like a time-off request or discussion that needs your approval. Ignored yellow alerts will generally re-generate if they are closed without solving.
Green & Blue Green and blue alerts highlight positive activity in your account which does not require your action but might be handy for you to know about.  Green and blue alerts are information only and will disappear in 24 hours if not clicked.

Who’s Working panel

The Who’s Working panel lists all shifts found on your published rosters, which have a start time today and tomorrow. The list format is ordered by actual start time, and includes information on the role being preformed and the staff member performing it.

Random Helpful Tips panel

The Random Helpful Tips panel displays a different snippet of information each time you load the Dashboard. These tips are related to all the different areas of your account and will help to highlight the functionality of features which you might have otherwise missed or misunderstood.

Just Rosters News & Updates panel

The Just Rosters News & Updates panel shows a snippet of information from our latest three blog posts. Our blog will be used as our main communication tool for announcing new features, business developments and interesting industry information. For a full archive of new and updated information, follow the link in the bottom of the panel to our blog.

Managers Notes panel

The Managers Notes panel is a great place to save little reminders and to-do lists. Anything saved in this text area can only be seen by you and other managers of your account. Changes to the content of this panel are saved automatically.

Account Health panel

The Account Health panel gives you a quick overview of your accounts vitals. It is important to keep an eye on your renewal date and remaining SMS credit, as running out of either of these could lead to account access or roster distribution issues. Follow the link at the bottom of this panel to your Billing page to view more information on your account health; and remedy any potential issues.

Rostered Hours – Next 2 Weeks panel

The graph in the Rostered Hours – Next 2 Weeks panel gives you a quick visual representation of the total shift hours found on published rosters over the next two weeks. Hover your mouse over any of the data points to display the actual hours for that date. If you notice your graph is flat lining you might have forgotten to publish your roster.

Week after week we have been able to decrease our labour cost just by exclusive use of this software.
